Season Information
Into the Woods will be performed at the Doncaster Playhouse, 11-19 November 2011.
Rehearsal Schedule
Rehearsals will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Sunday afternoons at the Phoenix Theatre Company Hall in Doncaster East. Rehearsals will commence the second week of July; however, as the rehearsal period is quite long, initially rehearsals will only be once a week (Sunday), scaling up to twice a week and then three times a week closer to the run.
Audition Preparation
Please prepare two contrasting songs in the style of the show. Sheet music must be provided for the accompanist in the correct key. If you are auditioning for one of the principle characters, then choosing a lyrical, narrative song would be beneficial. Auditionees may be asked to read from the script. Excerpts from the script that we will be using for these readings can be downloaded from the character listing immediately below. You do not need to memorise them. You may be asked to return for the call backs on Sunday 26th June.

The role of the Witch has been cast.
2 Actor/Artist/Stage Hands
We are also looking for 2 people to play non-speaking/non-singing roles who will be moving the set, drawing pictures on the set, handling props on stage, and potentially taking part in some of the choreographed movement. Ideally you should have some visual artistic skill and/or move well, but we are open to anyone who would like to be a key onstage part in a show but is not interested in a speaking/singing role. You would not have to attend any of the vocal rehearsals.
